Work-Based Summer Camps

A customizable five-day work-based learning summer camp for ninth, tenth, and eleventh graders, designed to provide participants with valuable work-based knowledge and experience. Participants will engage in practical hands-on work-based classroom learning and they will gain real-world experience by participating in job shadowing. Classroom learning will be complemented by exposure to real work environments through practical team and individual activities.

The workshop consists of four integrated segments:

  1.  Dynamic and engaging classroom discussions.

  2. hands-on interactive classroom activities.

  3. Job shadowing with local employers. Students will participate in job shadowing after acquiring work-based knowledge and skills in the classroom.

  4. Recreational activity

Special guest speakers from the employment sector will enhance further student learning by sharing real-world employment expectations. As part of the certificate conferral ceremony, students will have the opportunity to enjoy some water recreation together. A certificate of completion will be awarded to students who participate in all days of the camp, and who complete assignments.
